Do you want to develop novel manufacturing processes for additives that significantly improve the properties of plastics?
As a Process Development Engineer you will develop organic chemistry production processes from laboratory to large scale. With your knowledge of different technologies and methods within continuous process techniques, and with a high focus on production cost efficiency you conceptually formulate the process design. To experimentally test, adjust and verify your ideas in the laboratory is the key task in this role.
In a later stage you will also evaluate suppliers and contract manufacturers and manage technology transfer projects. You will be Nexam Chemical’s expert within this field and keep your self and the company updated regarding new technology.

Qualification:
We think you have a PhD degree in chemical engineering with a focus on process development/optimization or any related field. Alternatively you hold a MSc degree in the same field combined with at least five years work experience, preferably within petro or specialty chemistry. You need to have deep knowledge and/or experience from continuous production processes (e.g. reactive distillation, packed catalyst bed tube reactors, trickle bed reactors, wiped film evaporators, etc.) together with a general knowledge within organic chemistry.
As a person you are curious and have the courage to try new ideas and methods. You have an experimental approach and like to test your ideas in the laboratory, independently or as a part of a team. You are analytical with high abilities to technical problem solving.
